What holiday kids movie am I thinking of?
It had a bunch of toys in a playroom, and when no one was around, the toys came to life. They made a voyage downstairs to the Christmas tree to see what new toys the kids were getting for Christmas, and one was an elborate doll. I know this sounds like the recent Toy Story but its not. This wasnt really animated and it was a Christmas movie in the 80s I think. If anyone knows the name it would be greatly appreciated! I've been going crazy!

The remake of the 1992 film of the same name, Meet the Parents released in 2000 stars Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller. Ben Stiller, the main protagonist of the film has a hard time tackling his girlfriend's father, who takes an instant dislike towards him (Ben Stiller).
